and the British Record
as far as I know.


The Roach 4lbs 3oz - 1.89kg
Rudd
The Rudd 4lbs 8oz - 2.04kg

The British Record for the Catfish (Wels) is 62lbs - 28.12kg


The Eel 11lbs 2oz - 5.04kg

The Dace 1lb 4oz - 0.57kg

The Bream (Common) 16lbs 9oz - 7.51kg




The Carp is proberly the most talk about fish. There are so many different breeds, from the Commom Carp (BR 56lbs 6oz - 25.57kg) Wild Carp, Mirror Carp, Leather Carp. We have lakes solely for Carp fishing.




The British Record for the Crucian Carp is 4lbs 2oz - 1.88kg




There are also Coy Carp and Goldfish these are not wild but common in large private ponds.

tench Tench The fish of the Summer, fished for on the open day of the coarse fishing season. The British Record is 14lbs 7oz - 6.54kg

barbel The Barbel is one of the strongest fish, it will fight to exhaustion, The Record is 17lbs 4oz - 7.82kg

Zander

The Zander a predatory species that came to Britian in 1963 from Eastern Europe. Its appearance looks like a Pike cross with a Perch but it is a species in its own right
The British Record is 19lbs 5oz - 8.77kg


pike The Pike is widely distributed throughout the British Isles and it is equally at home in rivers, canals, lakes, gravel pits, even small farm ponds the British Record is 46lbs 13oz - 21.23kg

The Chub is a River fish the British Record is 8lbs 10oz - 3.91kg Chub
